“The Finance Director position is one of the hardest to recruit for in municipal government,” said City Manager John Moreno. “Tripepi Smith is a longtime partner of the City of Paramount, so we knew we could count on them given their track record of high quality work and outreach.”
After the three-month recruitment process, the City of Paramount hired Kim Sao to fill the Finance Director position. She previously served as the Deputy Director of Administrative Services/Finance for the City of South Gate for six years and an Accounting Manager for the City of Carson for nearly eight years before that.
In its recruitment efforts, Tripepi Smith Talent Solutions created a brochure to explain the role and illustrate the characteristics of a successful candidate. TSTS also fielded and organized applications for the City’s ease of access.
“I am excited for the City’s selection of its new Finance Director,” said Tripepi Smith Talent Solutions Director Bob Hall. “Throughout the recruitment process, Kim displayed Paramount’s values and traits that will make her successful in the role and within the community.”
