The City of Laguna Beach enlisted Tripepi Smith to produce two videos aimed at supporting the growth of their Marine Safety Department:
- Laguna Beach Lifeguards: Always Here, Always Ready, a short video highlighting statistics that showcase the lifeguards’ important role in the City.
- Join the Laguna Beach Marine Safety Department, a recruitment video encouraging candidates to consider joining the team.
Senior Business Analyst Kylie Sun led the charge supported by the production expertise of Videographers Jeremy Camp and Nolan Voge.
From picturesque shots of the beach to statistics highlighting the team’s water rescues and safety actions in 2023, the 45-second Laguna Beach Lifeguards: Always Here, Always Ready video focuses on the City’s investment in the safety of residents and visitors alike. Jeremy incorporated drone footage from the City’s Marine Safety Officer Porter Hogan, editing it into the final product. The video also highlighted the City’s new Wave Watch rescue vessel, improving response times and providing a stable platform for emergency operations.
The Join the Laguna Beach Marine Safety Department video features Marine Safety staff speaking to their purpose of being a part of the team, and their emphasis on providing safety and year-round services to the community and visitors.
“Laguna Beach lifeguards protect over six million beach visitors along seven-and-a-half miles of the City’s coastline,” said Jeremy. “We wanted to find a way to portray that statistic and their commitment to safety in a visually appealing way. The end result captures both the beauty and dedication of the Laguna Beach team to their community.”
