General Manager

Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District is looking for a visionary, strategic and collaborative leader to serve as its next General Manager. The General Manager will be a transparent leader who is skilled at managing diverse teams while also being actively involved in the community. This position requires an understanding of complex system operations, especially related to the water industry. 

In this role, you will have a strategic, responsive and open leadership style and will work closely with a tight-knit team as well as the District’s Board Members. You will oversee construction, maintenance and operation of the regional water system while simultaneously ensuring compliance with water quality laws and regulations. An ideal candidate will have an awareness of the engineering and construction principles applicable to the planning, design, and construction of District facilities. The new General Manager will have the opportunity to contribute their expertise and collaborate with a like-minded team toward helping the District achieve its water-focused goals.
